I remember being very shocked when I first found out about the existence of this sort of arrangement in publishing. It is a conspiracy! Sarah Weinman gives the grim details...

    I read this story in the "real" Times on the way to work this morning but have only just had the time to post about it. Eventually, I think, they'll just have piles of books for free, all covered in sponsor logos and "placement stickers".
